Our iconic Earl Polo Shirt, which has been a hero piece for us since 1955, returned bigger and better than ever during Autumn/Winter 16! To celebrate this hero piece and give it the respect it deserves, we put together a photo shoot of bands & artists rocking the legendary Black Earl Polo Shirt in London.

Up next we invited ROSKO, to iconic North London venue, The Finsbury, for an exclusive photo shoot and Q&A!

ROSKO 1

Coming together from various corners of England and Lithuania, Rosko formed in late 2015 and have been bossing venues countrywide! Their unique blend of rap, R&B, britpop swagger and good ol’ fashioned rock n roll earns them a spot in our latest feature!

Rosko have just premiered their energetic debut track “The Boys” via CLASH with Bruce (vocals), Simon (guitar), Perry (bass) and Dean (drums) getting their unique take on British life today out to the masses.

“The Boys” is an infectious blend of influences, from Britpop and punk, to grime and hip-hop, inspired by heroes such as Oasis, Mike Skinner and Kano. “we’re here to get people excited and cut through the beige“ says lead singer Bruce.

Filmed in sunny Southend by Taz Tron Delix (known for videos such as “En Route” by Skepta collaborator Ragz Originale), the high energy music video follows the boys on a day out around the Essex seaside town, featuring special cameos from a pet snake in a local boozer and Bruce’s mum.

Prior to this, the boys were busy crafting their sound, with Simon also involved in modelling work, appearing in London Fashion week and campaigns for Stella McCartney, Tom Ford and Ben Sherman. Simon and Bruce also both appeared in the Murkage Dave x Mike Skinner “Tied To You” video that premiered on Noisey last year.

It’s essential you get these lads on your map for 2017. Looking the part in our heritage Black Earl Polo Shirt, Rosko are currently in the process of recording a brand new EP which we will share as soon as we can get our ears round it.

Watch the video for  ‘The Boys’ below!

We caught up with front-man Bruce for an exclusive Q&A, check it out:

1. What does it mean to you to ‘Be An Original’?

To affect the people, if the bigwigs like you that’s cool, but we really want to make a difference to the person who works down the supermarket.

2. Tell us about your latest release?

Our single “The Boys” is basically the Rosko hello to the world. For the video we didn’t want to reinvent the wheel, we just went out and had a quality day doing what we normally do with the legend that is Taz Tron Delix alongside us and left it to him to work his magic.

We’re not shoving a big message down your throat but if anything it would be don’t let people tell you what to do, go out and get drunk, have a tear up, love your people and most importantly have fun and enjoy your life.

 3. Who’s your top ICON and why?

As I Bruce aka the blonde one am sitting writing this I’ll just say my particular personal icon.

Mike Skinner because he recorded one of the greatest albums ever in a wardrobe and introduced me to spread betting. Either him or Jack Nicholson, I know he’s not a musician but he is just the ultimate geezer isn’t he.
