Our iconic Earl Polo Shirt, which has been a hero piece for us since 1955, returned bigger and better than ever during Autumn/Winter 16! To celebrate this hero piece and give it the respect it deserves, we put together a photo shoot of bands & artists rocking the legendary Black Earl Polo Shirt in London.

Up next in this series of content is alt-indie duo, SKIES! Not only do we have an exclusive photoshoot with this unqiue duo, we have the first play of their video for MEGA new single, ‘Afterwards‘!

Off the back of their debut EP ‘If You Feel Like It’, SKIES went from strength to strength throughout 2016. Having picked up support from Radio 1 DJ’s Huw Stephens’ and Phil Taggart’s, online plaudits from Clash, Q, TMRW, Punktastic, and regular backing from Abbie McCarthy of BBC Introducing in Kent throughout the year, the band took to the road with the likes of Clean Cut Kid, Coasts and Get Inuit, delivering a ferocious live show and winning over new fans all over the UK. SKIES saw out 2016 in perfect style with a jam-packed headline show at Camden Assembly.

SKIES’ early single “Drone”, “Leave Me” and “Hold On” turned heads from all corners of the UK and beyond, with the band building an army of fans on the road in the process. And the band show no signs of slowing down as they gear up to release their second EP, due in 2017, with lead single “Afterwards” giving us a taste of what’s to come.

Of the track, Alie Cotter (Vocals/guitar) states “It’s a song all about regret, something that I think we can all carry at some point in our lives.”

SKIES will be touring the UK this Spring to coincide with the new single, supporting The Slow Readers Club and a selection of headline dates, and a massive home town show at 400-capacity Folkestone’s Quarterhouse.

A band unafraid of genre experimentation, SKIES take elements of indie, rock and pop to deliver a sound that is epic and mesmerising in equal measures. The duo are effortlessly bridging the gap between indie and alternative.
