Sleepovers encapsulate slacker rock at its absolute peak, taking cues from Pavement, Pixies and Weezer all the way through to Mac DeMarco and Courtney Barnett.

The video for their belting new one, ‘Good Sides’, has ingeniously been collated using frontman Alfie Smith’s actual phone camera roll over the last year, charting the aforementioned relationship and the writing/recording of the EP.

Alfie explains; ‘’Good Sides tells the story of the beginning of that process when I was trying to move on. The band was kicking into gear, so was the partying, we all got new jobs and you can hear it in the sound”

Its been captured through the last year of my camera roll for the video, all the ups and downs and this ep was its soundtrack. We chose to use the camera roll idea because although there may be a few bad photos you never capture a negative moment or put it on instagram if you’re fighting or miserable, only the good sides make the story.’’

Sleepovers are hard worn, road weary musicians having been created from the ashes of many other bands. They consist of brothers Tom and Ed Reynolds and the main songwriting duo of Elliot Crabtree and Alfie Smith, formerly of indie darlings Skallywags. To complete the group they then drafted in drummer Ashley Hodge, cherry picked from the line up of a project long forgotten to replace recently departed member Guy, who the band stil consider an integral part of Sleepovers.

The band are celebrating the release of ‘Good Sides’ with a show at the legendary Shacklewell Arms tonight! (20th November ’17) with the amazing, Average Sex.
