Fancy drifting away to a groovy, synth drenched paradise? you’ve come to the right place!

Brooklyn’s finest, Yeasayer, are right on it with their latest release ‘Gerson’s Whistle‘. Featuring guest vocals from legendary folk singer Suzzy Roche (The Roches), you find yourself fully immersed into this 5 min beauty, encapsulating the truly unique Yeasayer sound and displaying all the qualities you can find in their 4th studio album ‘Amen and Goodbye‘.

The album itself was recorded at the Outlier Inn Studio in upstate New York, with the band bringing Joey Waronker (drummer – Atoms For Peace / Beck) on board to add his magic touch to the final piece. Taking influence from religion, the afterlife and the search for meaning, the tracks really flow together perfectly.

We think ‘Gerson’s Whistle’ fully deserves the Plugged In Track Of The Week crown!
